Then listed with another company for $540,000
Sold for $520,000
There are many more examples like this where the listed price was too high then when listed with another
 company,  listed at lower price and sold below list price and now paid a commission to listing agent.

1 low offer - countered but not as low as when listed with next company at $215,000
Sold for $203,000  and  paid  LISTING COMMISSION which at 3% would be over $6,000

Listed originally for $790,000
Now listed with another company at $699,000
The showings are probably the same as when I had it listed.
If paying this large company 3% for listing the commission is over $20,000

If you are a fsbo you may have found this site by searching with fsbo, fsbo mls, mls flat fee, Charlotte real estate,
discount mls.  You will have your home listed in  MLS by paying a "Flat Fee". 

 You sign a listing agreement which states you will pay a commission to a Realtor who brings you the buyer.
